· Adult Education: This Sunday, we will have the pleasure of learning about Community Partners with Youth (CPY) from its Executive Director, Mary Stewart. Jeff Benson encouraged us to have CPY as a program. CPY is a non-profit after school and summer program that works with at-risk youth in K-8th grades in the North Metro. Mary will be talking about the impact of this program on the community and how the program sets up youth for success.
· Our Day to Give Thanks meal will be held November 24 after church. Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy will be supplied. A sign-up sheet will be placed in the narthex where you can sign up if you are willing to bring a salad, side dish or dessert. Be sure to sign up how many people will attend. All are welcome, but it is very important that all attending sign up ahead! All are welcome whether you are able to bring a dish or not. A free will offering will be taken.

· Attention holiday bakers: The Special Fundraising Committee is hosting the Great UCC New Brighton Holiday Bake sale on Sunday, December 8 during fellowship time. Please don your aprons and begin your planning to drop off labeled items before the service. No celebrity judging, just the fun of sharing goodies and trying new recipes!
· For several years, many have enjoyed holiday fruitcakes made by David Biro. This year is no exception. The price remains at $25.00 with all proceeds going to the Special Fundraising Committee. Orders can be placed by calling 612-227-2907 or email djrbiro@gmail.com. Last day to place an order is Friday, Nov. 22nd.
· Mark your calendars for the Advent Workshop, Sunday Dec. 1, following worship! Invite your friends and family to this ornament making, cookie baking, beloved holiday tradition.
