Religious Trauma and the Road to Reclamation: Recognizing Spiritual Abuse and Supporting the Healing Process
Presented by: Kendra Snyder, MA, LMFT, NCC, a trauma therapist with over 14 years of experience supporting those that are navigating identity, trauma and healing.
Religious trauma can deeply shape how people see themselves, relate to others, and experience their own bodies—especially for those who have been part of controlling or spiritually harmful communities. This training helps participants understand the often hidden effects of religious trauma and spiritual abuse, explore the complicated grief that can arise when long-held beliefs fall away, and learn how to support the journey of rebuilding self-trust, personal agency, and a sense of meaning.
